We came here for a two night stay on a road trip. We got here at 11am and there was no one there either in the office, store, or on site night registration location. Even though the hours show they are open all day, a sign was up saying they wouldn'tbe back until 1:30pm. After spending some time looking at other parks, rather than waiting for almost three hours to register for a camp site we already had reservations for, and cancelling a day of our trip, we just picked a spot and set up. Of the three days we were actually at the park, the office was open once, and that was only because we waited several hours to check out. The park was literally on the side of the interstate, so it was incredibly noisy the entire stay. My final complaint is that there were probably 50-100 spiders and their webs residing in the camp's two men's showers. I'm usually indifferent to any spiders I may come across, but when the entire ceiling is covered in a nightmarish mat of spider webs, I'm not taking part in any of that. I will say, on the positive side, that our entire interaction with the park attendant (the 1.5 times we saw her in the 3 days we were there) was very nice and helpful, and that all of the spaces seemed to be well kept, trimmed, and shady, but I will not be returning.
I found Fawndale Oaks online. I looked at their website and thought it sounded good. The website is too unclear. Looking at the website I thought it sounded pretty. When I stayed there, it was negatively not what I expected. The park is bordered by Interstate-5 so it is very noisy. Unless you are extremely used to that, it is difficult to sleep. I was in a tent slightly slanted because the ground sloops. Other than the old growth oaks and other natural beauties of the park, it is not a pretty site.
Nature plus. Not the city element we"re escaping from . Pets welcome! A handy store. Clean pool, rare artifacts. Management very helpful. Propane on site. Simply every thing in this hideaway, come see...
I live here and it's quiet, no druggies, no loud neighbors, the pool is clean, the laundromat is clean, I love it
Love it its quiet and owners are nice. Big lots.
