We recommend highly that if you are renting a houseboat trip at Lake Shasta, you try one of the other marinas which is what we have already done for 2018. I'm sure the response we will get on this post is they wish us the best at other marina's. Same to you Bridge Bay.

We were told by a staff member that after several years in the red, Bridge Bay is turning a profit. Well, we rented in times even when they weren't. It clear when times are good, Bridge Bay feels they can treat loyal customers poorly.

Went smooth! Had a blast! People are nice, fair and friendly. We rented a boat for 3 days and camped, plus got a room for 2 nights. Good times! Could not be more pleased.

Heaven on earth. They rent all types of boats including houseboats. There's a small store where you can buy ice, drinks (including beer and alcoholic beverages), fishing necessities, etc. Always a friendly and helpful staff. Gas prices are a little high at around 5 dollars a gallon for fueling your boats. And 20 lb. Bags of ice are around 7.50 a bag. But all in all, this is an excellent place to vacation or go for a picnic on the water.

After we arrived home we wrote a letter to the general manager. We received his response which outlined an excuse for each of our issues. Some of the issues and facts were changed to make sure the excuse was adequate. What Bridge Bay management doesn't understand is that customer service isn't just giving someone a credit. It is listening, and taking responsibility for the problems and looking for ways to improve a customer's experience.

There's better hotels out there, but this one has one of the best locations you can find. This place is right on the lake. The boat launch and docks are just a short walk away. You can eat at the restaurant that has a gorgeous lake view, bring your boat and go fishing, or rent a house boat for a small party. The rooms are a little small and old, but still well kept.

The staff was so nice here! We rented a small houseboat for Memorial Day weekend for my family of 5 and when we arrived it was super busy but the process of checking in was smooth and efficient. We needed ice and were short handed and a staff member brought us two bags. That was a huge time savings. Also, during the trip we went to the store to try and buy pens or pencils for a game we had brought that my youngest daughter really wanted to play. They didn't sell them there, but they gave us a few of their pens to use. They definitely went above and beyond to take good care of us. We will be back. Thanks again!!

Unfortunately our last visit to Bridge Bay was Aug 2017. We have rented houseboats for over 25 years and exclusively from Bridge Bay the last 12-13 years. We have noticed a decline in maintenance and cleanliness of the boats in the last several years but the proximity on the lake worked so well for us so every year we would rent again and hope for the best. At the end of every trip no one wants to really hear the problems or issues you experienced so they can be resolved for the next guest on that boat. This year we had so many issues that were unacceptable. We voiced that to staff who authorized an acceptable credit. However, we still requested to speak with the manager since no one noted any of the issues or problems. After waiting for sometime for him to get free we were told he was at the office. But, once we arrived he had to "leave to deal with an emergency". While we understand emergencies happen, the timing was interesting. And, after the manager dealt with the emergency, he still didn't attempt to contact us in any way.
