I then got in my rental car and drove to the airport, very shook up. Here I was at Bethel Church, a church I have recommended to possibly hundreds of people over the years based on watching videos online, and I finally got to visit and God showed up and then I was rudely and unjustly sent packing.
He said this was my third contact with security, and that was a surprise to me. On Monday the day before a BSSM student who I met at a Sunday service had invited me to hear Danny Silk speak, but when I got to the door I was refused admission by Yanni.
As I waited for my BSSM friend to show up so I could explain not getting in, other BSSM students met and talked and prayed and prophesied over me. One gave me a piece of gum. After meeting my friend and telling her that I could not get in, I also spoke to a few others in the park area.
But back at the Prayer House the next morning, Eric was claiming this was my third encounter with Bethel security. He explained that the janitor, who was vacuuming early in the morning over the weekend had reported me as "acting strange". The acting strange is what you do when the God of all creation reveals Himself to you in prayer in ways you can never imagine until it happens to you.
My offense, very early on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 was apparently to talk to the only other person in the room, a man named Jamie, who was already an acquaintance of mine. Eric burst into the room and said he needed to talk to me, then led me to the barely noticeable rules near the entryway and had me read them out loud.
Attached, amazing photo of APH God gave me, looking east.
So then this review. I am posting it publicly because I got no response whatsoever from the email I sent to the church general contact address two weeks ago. I know what happened to me is very far from the heart of the Pastors Johnson and the great people of Bethel. I know that Eric also thought he was doing the right thing. But if you preach grace, and want to see heaven come to earth, let's all practice grace.
I had the most incredible experience of my life here. As I visited Redding for the first time, I was drawn to and spent many hours in prayer here, only to be kicked out by a security guard named Eric, who was accompanied by another guard named Yanni.
As I went to leave, I needed to dispose of that gum I had been chewing, so I went to the only trash can, by the front door, to throw the gum away. This time Yanni aggressively blocked me from even the trash can, and another security guy named Travis appeared. Without his asking, I gave Travis my ID and he took a picture of it. I told them I completely understood the need for such security. They said that one female had mentioned some sort of concern. I had prayed with one German woman out by the fountain who seemed somewhat distressed, after asking her permission to do so.
Security Needs to be kicked out bad image for God
A beautiful place to sit quietly and listen to God's word.
To make matters worse, as I was pushed down the walkway, I went to open the door of my silver rental car that was parked in the very closest parking place, since i was the only one who drove there, Jamie lives in walking distance. When I reached back I accidentally instead opened the door of the silver security vehicle and then Eric went way over the top, perhaps thinking that I was now trying to steal his vehicle. He confiscated the prayer materials I had written and would not return them.
Met God Here! Then got kicked out by overzealous security.
So Eric said I could go back into the prayer room if I followed the rules, which I did, to the letter. As I walked through the door, Jamie turned around to see me and I waved at him to say "follow me" and he followed. At that moment Eric got a bit enraged, for, while I had not talked in the prayer room, I had communicated. So he said "You're out" and literally ended up backing me out the front door and down the walk as I tryed to comprehend what could have possibly put him into such a rage.
